Grassland where ever the foodplant is found, but not at higher
altitudes.

Common knapweed.
Lifestage data
Stem miner. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva lives and feeds in the upper
part of the stem below the flower head. Pupa is brown in a silken
cocoon in the soil or leaf litter. |
